I’m a system engineer and technical consultant based in Switzerland, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and more than seven years in enterprise IT consulting. My day-to-day work covers system monitoring, support, customer consulting, project management and delivery.
The common thread is data with obligations attached: messaging, archiving and compliance platforms for organisations — many in the Swiss financial sector — that answer to FINMA and the nDSG. That means environments where retention is non-negotiable, discovery has deadlines and “it probably still exists somewhere” is not an acceptable answer.
Outside the data centre I keep a busy home lab and, when a laptop is not enough, I plug it into a car instead.
